Lagavulin Distiller's Edition 2017

A surprisingly sweet and chocolatey Lagavulin. Peat takes a backseat to the candy and dried fruit notes.

Age: 16 Years

Casks: Ex-bourbon and PX

ABV: 43%

Nose: Saltwater vanilla taffy, bergamot oil, applewood smoke, maple syrup, decaying wood, prunes, and tobacco.

Palate: Chocolate tootsie roll, sticky dates, white pepper, dried cherries, walnut pith, sweetened coffee, campfire smoke, and an oily mouthfeel. The finish is long with oak embers, coffee, and sweet oak tannins.
