Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival 2018

Nose: Sweet wet ash, dried lemon zest, rose petals, hint of cinnamon bark, seawater on a rocky shore, old oyster shells, dried and crumbly peat, polished cedar, and green apple skins.

Palate: Bold and blunt, ash covered oak embers, wet barrel char, pear skin, cooked Gala apples in butter and cloves, engine grease, and a dry but salty finish with lots of fresh ground Szechaun pepper.
